Call Roulette app for iPhone and iPad
Developer: Derrick Staten
First release : 17 Apr 2014
App size: 588 Kb
Welcome to the most *terrifying* game you will ever play. This app will force you to face your greatest fear: interacting with someone youve crossed paths with in life--but at random and without context.
This app pulls in all the phone numbers from your address book and loads them into the slot machine. Swipe the list of contacts to start the game. Then wait. As the list slows to a halt, you will see the name of your soon-to-be co-conversationalist. The app will automatically dial the phone number. Then the real fun ensues.
Best played with a group of friends who all have the app and are willing to risk everything.

OFFICIAL RULES (2+ people):
Each player should have the app installed on his/her phone. The host of the party goes first. He/she swipes the list of contacts and must talk to whomever the app chooses. Upon completing the call, he/she picks the next player. Each player who successfully completes a phone call then chooses the next player to go. A player who has completed a call may not be selected again; every other player must complete a call. After each player completes a call, Round 1 is complete. Round 2 again starts with the host, and each player must complete a call in the same order as Round 1.
If a player hangs up before a call can be completed, he or she loses and exits the game. In Round 1, the previous successful player then picks the next player to make a call. In all subsequent Rounds, the order has already been established, so the losing player exits and play continues with the next player.
OBJECTIVE: The winner must complete one phone call after every other player has exited by failing to complete a call. If the last player fails to complete one last phone call, then the game ends and no one wins.

FAQ
Q: What if the phone call could not be completed (wrong number, disconnected number, etc.)?
A: The player making the call must reopen the app and repeat his or her turn.
Q: What if no one answers and the call goes to voicemail?
A: Did you really just ask that? That’s pretty much the same question as the previous question. Stop trying to get out of your turn! Go again.
Q: Will this work with international phone numbers? I don’t want to be charged a bunch of money.
A: No, CallRoulette ignores the country code. Any international numbers in your phone will be treated as domestic numbers—aka you will dial the wrong number. You must attempt to complete the call with a complete stranger. If the call cannot be completed, go again.
Q: What do I get when I win?
A: Serious bragging rights! Most people are too scared to play this game in the first place, and you played it ‘til the end! Announce yourself as #callroulettechamp on the social network of your choice (and tag the losers while you’re at it).
